Hello Im new to the forum I just upgrade my e6850 to a qx6850 and when the comp start the bios say the cpu model but it say count 2 when it should say 4 because is a 4 cores cpu but in windows vista it show all 4 cores and the 4 cores are working with vista,prime95,3dvantage.

I would like to know what is causing this to happens its not a big deal but i want to know lol.

system specs:

QX6850 stock (im waiting for my new Zalman 9700)
MB: Asus P5k P35 chipset bios is updated
RAM: 4x1GB Crucial Ballistic Tracer 4-4-4-12 800mhz(oc 5-5-5-12 1000mhz v2.2)
BFG 9800GTX OC 512MB
Cooler Master extreme power 500watts (Im waiting for a new Cooler master Silent Pro 600Watts)
Seagate 500Gb 7200.11 32MB Cache

when did you update the bios, before or after the cpu change? depending on that, i might suggest a cmos clear and see what happens.
