read about the bogus xp 3000+ chip and it was a good laugh!!
but check out the new amd chip athlon4 (name i just thought of)

i think it is of the .13 core.

the current cores are .18 and .13 is smaller than .18.... and the one in the pic looks bigger....i dunno what it is but its ugly

saw it at a taiwanese site.
thought that this forum would shed some light to the pics.
notice the printing on the core. it says assembled in usa and the second line i could really make out but i think it says, mechanical sample.

It looks like a mobile Athlon 4 from what I've seen of 'em. T-bred is gonna be a 462PGA package but I could see hammer being something new.

Hope they don't pull an Intel on us and switch socket form factors months after releasing a new processor.

and the core itself is bigger than a t-bird ,although the chip is smaller

hehehe did you see that other athlon 3000+ post?
i slightly alterd that pic to make my athlon xp 300000+ cpu! hehehehe!
because someone had put up this thing that looked so crazy and photoshoped! hehee so i altered it a little bit!

i have to agree with donny i hope that they don't switch the packaging so soon.
