check this out, I just reinstalled XP on my computer and everything is gravey but I have one simple annoying problem. Its with Internet Explorer. How do I get the web pages to open full size? This is really getting on my last damn nerve because I can't figure it out.

what do you mean full size?

if you mean that when you open IE and it occupies the whole screen all you have to do it open one instance of IE. full screen it and then X it out. i believe that next time you open it, it will be full screen, try it.

I have a 19inch monitor, and each time I start IE, the window opens as if it was Minimized. I have to click on the Max symbol. I'm tring to figure out how to get it to open max all the time.

eh?

click the max symbol right when it opens, i think winxp relizes you want them max. and it will start doing it after a while...

Thx, I've tried that but no luck. I really don't know why it is doing that. Do you think its a setting in IE? This is the first time it has been doing this in any OS I've been running.

You might want to give this a try...

Start IE6, right click any URL and select "Open in a New Window".
Go back to the first IE6 window you opened and close it.
Return to the second window and manually drag it to fill the screen (Do not use the maximize button). Close this second window, using the close box. All IE6 windows should now open maximized.;)

Sort of redduc idea but I found this trick:

Make sure all your IE browsers are closed.
Open one which is going to minimized for you.
Maximize it and close it using the big X on the top right.

Now IE remembers that.

also if you could try maximizing the window then holding the shift key when closing, the next open should be maximized

Thx, that did the trick. I figured it couldn't have been that hard to do but you know when ever there is a problem is ususally something simple to fix it.
