Hi everyone,I have a couple of questions about my Bios set-up.The two benchmarks Ive run so far have suggested changing the PCI Latency Timer from 32 to 64.( sisoft sandra & mad onion )
I have my multiplier set at 9.5 x cpu133 dram133.I'm getting 1276 MHz out of this with a Anthlon 1.33 GHz T-Bird.Im obviously new to this but I'd rather ask than mess a smooth running system up. Thanx everyone.Oh yeah how do you insert a picture into your thread?

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS

Why have you not set the CPU at its default clockspeed?

Whats up Sonny thanx for responding.Well to answer your question I'm new to the computer world and this system was not running when I purchased it.I've goy it running with alot of upgrades and I didnt receive a MB manuel or AN Anthlon manuel either,so I wasent sure what was what.Ive recently got my hands on a asus manuel and that has gotton me to this last thing.Ive tried all kinds of combos with this one running the best.Any Ideas?Also I'm trying to update my bios but windows xp dosent support making an dos floppy? thanx again and take care Laters................:burn:

Before you try & update your BIOS, last option, try running the CPU at default speed & voltage. Find the parameters in your BIOS for the CPU speed, try setting it at default first & reboot. When your system does a P.O.S.T.(Power On Self Test) you should be able to see 1333MHz. If this doesnt happen then you need to set the parameters to manual & punch in your own values. Just remember that GHz/MHz/Clockspeed is always derived from 2 sets of numbers, Multiplier & Front Side Bus. They should look something like this;

CPU
Multiplier = 10
CPU FSB/PCI CLOCK = 133/33

What this gives you is 10 X 133 = 1333MHz. The /33 shows that your PCI BUS is running at 1/4 the FSB so 1/4 X 133 = 33MHz.

Voltage or better identified as VCORE should be at 1.75V in the CPU MENU or What ever it's called on your MoBo then check it in the HEALTH MENU of your BIOS after you save then reboot then go back into your BIOS to get a proper reading. Lets stick with that for the moment. After you set all this we can then go further. Try not to type in blue, hard to read & kinda hurts my eyes.

11sec huh? What you running?
