Thanks in advance

intel q6600 at standard multipler - 9x FSB 1026
patriot ddr2 800mhz 4-4-4-12 sli-ready
board temps 51
cpu temps 42

sorry if that is not enough info

According to my mobos settings dual channel memory should be installed 0 and 2, 1 and 3.
this however does not work
the board will only post with mem installed in 0 and 1
i mean it wont even turn on the display and error out
it just turns on and sits idle

i have posted each stik of mem sepearately in channel 0 and all report fine
thank you for your time and this site.

Install one stick in DIMM 0, enter the BIOS and change the nForce SPP Voltage to 1.3V. Also check to make sure the DRAM frequency (Actual MEM (DDR) MHz) is 800MHz, and that the Memory voltage is manually set to whatever your RAM is rated to run at (probably EPP at 2.1V). Manually change the four primary RAM timings to 4-4-4-12, and change Command Per Clock (CMD) to 2T (leave all sub-timings on AUTO)... then install the remaining stick in DIMM 2.

thank you i will try your suggestion, ill post back shortly.

i had already done the above except for the spp voltage, but still no go.
all 4 stiks wont post...... any other suggestions. and thanks again.

still no go even with the higher latency........
aaaaahhhh this is aggravating. dont understand, could my second dim be gone, its never been used.

Is FSB - Memory Clock Mode set to AUTO, Linked, or Unlinked? Try Unlinked, FSB - Memory Ratio to 3:2 w/ Actual MEM MHz showing 800MHz. You could also try setting the Memory Timing Setting to Optimal instead of AUTO.

its unlinked at the moment
i cannot adjust the ratio unless the mem is linked

setting memory to linked
multiplier 9x
ratio 3:2
fsb 1200 mhz
mem timing to optimal at 4 4 4 12 2t
going to giv her a go like this lol
thanks for your suggestions btw

what about sub timings
trrd 3
trc 21
twr 5
twtr 8
tref 7.8uS

Why is the FSB at 300MHz (1200 QDR)? I thought you were having problems w/ POST w/ the FSB still at the default of 266MHz. At an FSB of 300MHz running a 3:2 divider, the effective DRAM frequency is 900MHz. If you're attempting to boot at 300MHz w/ a 3:2 ratio, then manually change the DRAM ratio to 1:1 for an effective 600MHz DRAM frequency at 4-4-4-12-2T.

linked that was the only way for actual dram mhz to be 800

changed ratio to auto which left the mem at 800 at fsb qdr 1066.7
it just wont post
any other ram testing suggestions
with 2 in dimm 0 it boots fine if i add any to dimm1 nothing
im about to pull out my hair

quick question
shouldnt the machine post with one stick in any slot?

i can post with ram in 0 and 1, but if i put a stick in 3 or 4 it wont post.
thought id throw that out there. and thanks again for helping my ts this

I hate that board.

Really.

Soon you will too lol :D

When mine did that, I had to start the board with no ram, shut it off, unplug it, stick 1 ram in, plug in and power up, go into bios save and exit my meager settings, power off, unplug, insert other stick, plug in hit go, and pray.

omg
i dunno what else to do im about to blow this thing up!!!!!!!!!!!!
