Hi,

I hope someone can help me here. I have been running my system with only 2 gigs of memory and want to upgrade to 4 gigs. I am watercooling my overclocked system. This is the advertisement in the paper of the memory I'd like to buy.

4gb DDR3 1600HMz, 2x2gb Modules, low cas latency:9 (A Data is the Manufacturer)
(This is the link for the memory I am looking at:
http://oc.adata.com.tw/1_product_detail.asp?pid=AD31600XU2K

I know this memory will work on my system, however, I am an overclocking noob. When I first set up my system almost a year ago, I asked the guys at Corsair to help with the timings/setting for my system. Since I really dont know what I am doing with overclocking, and its been a while since I did my research, I am looking for help on the memory timeing/voltage settings. I normally run my system at 3.2 ghz. This is the current configuration I have.

AI Overclock Tuner = Manual
CPU Ration Control = Manual
CPU Ratio Setting = 8
FSB Frequency = 400
PCIE Frequency = 100
DRAM Frequency = DDR-1600
Dram Command Rate = 2N

Dram Timing Control = Manual
CAS# Latency = 7
RAS # to CAS# Delay = 7
RAS# PRE Time = 7
RAS# ACT Time = 20
*Set all other timings to Auto*

DRAM Static Read Control = Auto
DRAM Dynamic Write Control = Auto
Ai Clock Twister = Auto
Ai Clock Skew for Channel A = Auto
Ai Clock Skew for Channel B = Auto
Ai Transaction Booster = Auto

CPU Voltage = 1.4
CPU PLL Voltage = 1.6
FSB Termination Voltage = 1.34
DRAM Voltage = 1.90
NB Voltage = 1.41
SB Voltage = Auto
Clock Over-Charging Voltage = Auto
Load-Line Calibration = Enabled
CPU GTL Voltage Reference = Auto
NB GTL Voltage Reference = Auto
CPU Spread Spectrum = Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum = Disabled

This gives me 8 x 400 = 3.2ghz

The guys from the corsair forum gave me specs for 3.6ghz as well, but as I said before, I run my system at 3.2ghz. I'm not too sure, but I think I only need to lower the dram voltage? If you can please help me with the specs I will need to change, I would greatly appreciate it. I really want to get 4 gigs of mem on my system.

Thanks!

According to the spec's page for that RAM, the default timings are 7-7-7-20 (CAS# Latency of 7; not CAS of 9). Yes, you just need to lower the current DRAM voltage from 1.90V to between 1.6 and 1.8V, since the timings of 7-7-7-20-2N are the same.
