View Full Version : Yellow vs black slots quick DDR 2 Q

I have 2 sticks in the yellow slots on my board. The manual says they are better for overclocking, however I run them at 1066.

Can I run them in the black slots instead? (clearance issue long story)

will this in any way affect performance?

Sure, shouldn't change anything at all.

If you were trying to convince anything to run at 1200 it might, but at 1066 it shouldn't care at all.

You know all this time I've just been trying to overclock RAM.

I'm such an idiot.

What I should have done was take it out for lobster, maybe take it to a show. Buy it roses. Convince it that I really care about it, as a DIMM. Then it'll let me overclock it.

Do I have to meet it's parents you think?
