View Full Version : Simple Question (Getting sound to TV)

Okay so I have onboard sound and I want a simple way to get sound from my PC to the RCAs on my TV, what sort of cabling am I going to need to get? I just want something simple and basic here so I can watch things from my PC on my TV, I already got a Svideo cable for the video out on my 8800gt I just need to rig up something for sound. Thanks!

Connect from sound card line in to RCA adapters , left and right

connection used would be small mini jacks from comp to 2 RCA , soo a y cable , radio shack,

Okay a Y cable is all I need? If o nly radio shack hadnt went out of business around here. lol Ill use amazon to find it. Thanks!

Just ordered 50 feet off ebay (running it from one end of the house to the other so I wont have to move my PC to the living room)

Ok I'm curious here...you're routing the sound from your PC to the TV, that's all well and good. I imagine you're not routing just the sound though :p do you already have video run?
