From time to time I get an unsolicted email that is clearly from eBay seller peddling their wares on eBay. 2 of them has invalid from and reply address, and one of them is from AOL. I've blacklisted them but they change email address from time to time to get around the spam filter.

I tried to ask the AOL sender to stop sending me any more email, and the seller kindly responded in the form of 3 new spams. I could handle AOL user if I knew where to forward the spam to. But unless AOL gets enough complaints (assuming they have way for non AOL-er to report spamming AOL-er) they probably won't do anything.

I've also forwarded all the email to eBay but they basically said "sucks to be you, message didn't come through eBay message system." Since these spammers got my email addresses from the past dealing, they are violating eBay policy but it's hard to prove this.

Bouncing message as fake undeliverable may work with AOL spammer but not with the other 2 that doesn't have valid address to begin with. Unless there's a way to stop them for once and for all, I am tempted to buy on their cheapest auction so I could get their current email (and Paypal email if different) then subscribe those email address(es) to major spamming list and make them eat their own medicine.

Just let it go. The more you get involved the more spam you're gonna get.

If you wish to report unsolicited commercial email to the FTC, you should forward that spam to spam@uce.gov

A couple years ago when I was selling/buying alot on ebay, some jackass got my email on a spammer list. I set up a gmail account just for ebay/paypal etc. and never give out my POP email address to any but family & friends.

The spam from the ebayer will probably die off after a bit; don't ever reply or email the spammer, they'll never let go of you.
