Barebones setup help

I recently purchased a barbones system and needed some help in setting up the system. Can anyone point me out to a step-by-step or tutorial on adding the rest of my components and setting up my new OS.

Havn't seen one on-line, but most of the pc mags have this type of tutorial..in the UK PC Pro is good, don't know about the US
