Alright, has anybody heard of this mouse? I was looking at the Razer Boomslang 2000, and I wanted to know if it was worth my time. If you've never heard of it, check it out at
www.razerzone.com
Anyhow, tell me what you think.

i like my intellimouse explorer 3.0 alot better, ive used it at lan parties, and i just like the ms one more.......and the whole no warranty thing sucks
Lots have had that mouse and it failed on them. I would either go Logitech or Microsoft. Try to avoid Boomslang.

The Razor Boomslang is bar none the greatest gaming mouse ever developed.
BUT They seem to break easy.
They (Karna) refused to honor thier warranty for almost a year and just today I spoke to a company called Leftbid which apparently is thier new partner and they ARE now honoring Karna's old warranty items.
The best part is that Leftbids customer rep was a most pleasant woman and she is sending me replacments for both my dead Boomslangs.
So my official beef with this company may be near its end.
If you have a dead Boomslang on your hands I suggest you contact them (http://www.leftbid.com/) as all you need to do is send them the serial number and they will ship you a replacment.
I will update this thread if I actually get a replacment.

It seems I should go with a really good optical mouse instead, because I'm a a budget (See my other thread before I buy...). Any suggestions on a optical mouse? I've heard the intellimouse is good.

Well, I just bid on one on Ebay! Was that a bad move? They did admit to almost bankrupcy in the past on their web. I am just getting sick of doing mods to my comp and not seeing/ getting any better gameplay.
Guess I should check this board more often before I go buy happy on ebay eh?

illbreakit,
They are by far the best gaming mouse ever made. There are some difficulties, but not insurmountable.
In Unreal Tournament you can knock the b@lls off a gnat!!
If you wanted a freakin' warranty, you wouldn't overclock.
