As Miah stated in another thread, I need a "real man" mobo. I'm looking at the Classy E762 and the Asus P6T7WS. From what I've read and from personal experience with Asus board (namely ROG ones) they are top notch on air/water but cannot compete with the nose dripping. The 762 look nice but pretty steep in price wise. But I can deal with that. My BIG question is what chip to put on that board? Don't get crazy ant tell me I need a 1000$+ Xeon cause I can't afford that. Any of you top gun here have a nice x35xx they want to get rid of? I don't care if it is retail, tabasco or else.... By the way it is a new week so I guess I can open a new thread

I will pop your threads cherry;)(in this section anyway) Maybe more people will step in on this. For you... the Classified 762 gets my vote. If you're going to grab the fourth 5870, you're going to need it. From a chilly standpoint, it should work well. As far as the chip is concerned, I'd say at least a 950(or equivalent Xeon), if you're not going to grab the Extreme. The higher Multiplier will help you.

I'm with Nick on this one Bob ;)

BTW guys...since this is for benching only, it should be in the Benching Team section (public).
