QuickCam maximizing framerate

I don't know much, only that processor power has to do with it. I'm running a Duron 1.17 gig, so I thought that skipping would be low. Resolution is anohter way to decrease it, so you should put the recording of video at the smallest size.

I heard that you could gert as much light as possible and turn down the light settings (hwere is the light settings on the QuickCam software)

any other ideas?
