Hi guys,

Dunno if u can help, but i can't seem to get my 1.4 above 1540

Multiplier set to 11, fsb is at 140.

V Core 1.8, dropped AGP from 4x to 2x

Running windows xp, and get the protection error if i up the fsb any more. Also, pc sticks its finger up at me if i dare up the multiplier any more with the fsb at that frequency

cooling is not a prob, but was wondering if there was any chance if it could be one component within my setup which could cause an error like that with the global fsb i.e Net card or S Blaster???

Any suggestions very much appreciated,

Cheers!!!

Well, two things come to mind. You may need a little more juice to the proc and/or if you are using more than one dimm some mobos don't care for that when oc'ing. If a single dimm, try moving to another slot.

I've gotten mine to 1.68 w/ 1.90v 11.5x146 load 44c or so. Can't give idle temp as it is never idle :D

Thanks for your reply!

Just to let you know that i have just fitted a new enermax 431W PSU and it appears to have solved all my problems (so far)

Had to upgrade it anyway to keep all the aircooling running :(

Some else mentioned that it was likely that the I/O voltage may have been low under load, restricting the fsb???

Cheers

Exact Same problem here as you probably all no.
I guess I need a bigger PSU:eh?:

Am using a Antec 403 on mine. Has 3v and 5/12v adjustments. I am (at this moment) at 1754 with 2.3v. The t-bird has a liking for good voltage. Any higher and I am going to have to go to extreme cooling. Presently this is cooled with H2O.

Don't know about your psu but if it is an antec 403/412 then there is a screw located where all the wires exit the psu that adjusts the 3.3v line.
