Drives to CD-rom

I have a old P75@120
I need to trasnfer cd-rom drives from a windows startdis or bootdisk, since I don't have drives to it after a restart.
Why?
I don't know, i just formatted and tried to install win98 it all went fine till it reboots and cd-rom is no more.

sounds liek an IRQ conflict. YOu need to go into the bios and fix that.
