I am making my first attempt at building an overclockable system. I intend using a Athlone XP say 1600/1800. I would be gratefull for suggestions for good stable combinations of components available in UK, that will give exellent performance without costing a fortune; Mobo, DDR Memory, Graphics, PSU, Sound. Also for suggestions as to the most effective overclocking techniques that reduce the risk of damaging components. :rolleyes: Thanks.

Nice to see someone from my neck of the woods :D

The best thing to do would be to read the Beginners guides on the front page, digest those and then decide where you wan to go from there.

The compents you choose all depend on what you want to use the System for, and how much you are willing to spend.

There are a quite a few places in the UK that do overclocking stuff, once you have worked out what you want we can point you in the right dirrection.
