Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while due to my new job ;)

I don't know if this common or not but when playing GRID the images on the screen sometimes get a jagged line that moves from the top of my monitor to the bottom. Don't really know what could cause this. Every game from UT99 to Crysis works fine and doesn't have the issue. Any good ideas? I was thinking maybe it is a Windows 7 issue and the game isn't exactly compliant with it. I will try running it in compatibility mode to see if that works. Thanks for all the help guys.

Enable V-sync.

I have 7 and haven't noticed a problem except from the odd screen break. What are the temps on your GPU like? Could be artifacting... My 260 and 285 temps are at about 60 degs when playing Crysis and GTA IV but on Grid I get about 73. Not high enough to artifact but still a substantial difference.

It isn't artifacting, there is nothing wrong with the computer. What you are talking about is called "tearing". Meaning that the rate that the video card is putting out frames is slightly off from what the display is refreshing at. Enabling v-syc, per my first post, will fix the issue.

thideras, you rock. You hit the nail on the head my friend. I can't believe I forgot to enable that. It took care of the problem right away. Oh and tinymouse, I got a VF1000LED on my 8800GTS so heat is not an issue :) under load not over 55C. Thanks again for the help guys.
