OC Seti Contest : Cast YOUR Vote!

Now that all the entries for the Top Banner contest have been submitted, and thanks to everyone who was involved and who submitted an entry it is time for the voting to commence. Voting will run for two weeks beginning Friday February 1st 2002 and running for the duration of two weeks ending on February 15th 2002 at 12PM CST at that time the winner will be declared and work will begin on transferring the team page to a Frames Layout to make site updates and coding alot easier.

Again thank you to all who were in involved, a quick reminder that anything that was submitted during the duration of the contest has now become property of www.ocsetiteam.com The link banners are availabe for all to use, you can find them at http://ocseticontest.sytes.net/entries.html please feel free to use them on your homepage and promote your team to others!

The poll and voting will officially open on friday this is a preliminary test to see if it is possible to get the amount of options needed and required for this round of voting.

I was hoping I would get some feedback from you, shall we run another contest after this to get the Team logo worked out ? Maybe we should do some brainstorming on sizes and format and whatnot, and then run a similar contest for it ? Well let me know what you would like to and we can set something in the works after this.

Yep, I'm hoping that we can organize something like this.....that way will be fairer as suddently I had the impulse to design one myself and use it. :) But that way many people might not like it.

I'll began to see wich sizes will be good with the printing press guys, how many colors, as I wanted to use the team logo as part of the stickers that we've been talking for awhile. Also people you would like it at they sites they could use it that way.

BTW, weren't we going to select the smaller gif to be used as a link to homepage of the OC SETI Team?

The multiple smaller gifs were submitted for the purpose of making many choices available for people instead of a one for all thing it was to be more of which one would like to use for you homepage, alright take that one and put it up.

Voted for my personal fav.

They all look great though: I don't think it really matters which one wins: they are all THAT good (as was the first)

Maybe we can archive them and do a change every year or so- just a thought for the future.

I was scared the one i picked wouldn't be the one the majority picked. The one i did pick though i thought was definitely the most awesome banner i've seen and guess what it was ranked around 60% of the votes from you guys. Boy am i relieved! Now i know the one i picked most likely will win.

Would it be possible to use the winning banner on a personal page, as a link (without the menu choices), with just the graphics?

Or would this violate any of SETI's rights?

I think using the banner would be a cool addition for anyone linking to the Seti pages here.
