I saw a couple out there but was unsure of which one to get. I wanted purple UV to go with the theme of my rig. Pricing dont matter as long as its within the U.S.A. I saw one from Fluid XP+ Nano which caught my eye but want some opinions first.
Thanks

Purple tubing. With UV purple accents.
Up to you, keep water chemistry simple for no problems.

Ones that are mixed are terrible. They will "sheer", separating the color and the fluid. It gets all over the pump and stains the tubing and res. Save your money, get colored tubing and lights, leave the fluid as distilled water.

+1. Only use distilled water + biocides. For colour, use coloured tubes.

Sorry. Did your PM them on the website for 1/2"? Maybe it's availible. Or go to the manufactues website?
We know what fluid is best, the choice is yours. Primochill LRT blue is kinda purple under UV, been reviewed under regular and UV.
Work it, don't cave in so easy.
Edit

That's not purple... :santa: It's most definitely blue.
edit- under UV is looks faintly like purple.
Couple of other purple stuff. It is worth considering if you're theme is purple. Do be cautious though, it can turn grody easily.

if you really must put a color in the liquid, you can just add some primochill dye. they have a UV purple in their dye-bomb range, but for more flexibility you could get a UV blue and UV red dye bomb and mix them to your liking, drop by drop to any ratio.
That being said, if there is anything this community has tought me, its to keep liquids simple.
I now use distilled water with a silver kill coil and a drop of PT nuke PHN (for good measure) but thats me.
To use dye or colored coolants, just expect to do your maintainence a bit more often than if you were to use straight biocide+distilled water, just to keep everything in check as per the comment somewhere above about the color seperating from the liquid. What I'm saying is you should change the water more often to keep it in check, and flush out your rad, pump & blocks properly every time you do so (every 6-12 months, more or less, I wouldn't know difinitively because I havn't been watercooling for very long) but I understand that running straight distilled water+biocide will mean you only have to clean out the loop once every blue moon, like if algea or gunk builds up or you see a concerning drop in performance. Adding dye to that just means you would have to keep an eye on it to see if the dye breaks down from the heat, seperates from the water and causes any gunking or whatnot, and change water/clean out if you see anything to that effect. Using a UV coolant will result in far more maintainence compared to a properly prepared water build. And don't be fooled by coolants that are non-conductive. Sure, they're non-conductive in the bottle, but run them through a copper block, a radiator, a pump, add impurities it may pick up, it will be conductive enough soon. I strongly suggest taking the above advice and using distilled water+biocide, and for color either a simple dye or use colored tubing. (I use UV resistant black tygon, its the sh!zzle)
The PrimoChill dye bombs are water soluble, so you can use them in tandem with biocide and distilled water. and they give good flexibility in coloring because you can fill your loop, bleed it, then add a couple drops of dye, let it run through, add some blue, a bit of red, a lil more red, now you need more blue, one more drop of blue and you got it! just make sure you let the dye run through the system for a few mins between drops to see it all dispersed.
In short: Distilled water+biocide(PT Nuke PHN or a good piece of .999 pure silver are great examples) will offer lowest maintainence, color can be added by using colored tubing, or clear tubing with some dye, jsut have a close look at the dye and tubing/componants every few months, drain/clean/refill whenever needed, replace tubing if need be. When you clean, flush well with distilled water afterwards, no matter what you use to clean it, distilled water to finish off.
Umm, i think my wall of text is getting too big so I will leave it at that.
Anyone disagree with that sing out so we can all learn, or if anyone who has used the PrimoChill dyes can recommend them or warn us off them?
here's (http://www.gammods.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_90_125) a link to some of the dyes from Gam mods, I'm sure many american stores woudl stock the dye bombs, anywhere that sells primochill coolant should.
Good luck with the coloring
