View Full Version : Air Cooling a TEC (not for a CPU)...

I know air-cooling a TEC isn't the best way to remove heat, but I have a small project where I only need about 10W of cooling. I thought an 80W TEC would work good making my total dissipation under 100 watts.

So I'm wondering, how much heat can a high-end air cooler remove? Considering how many watts an OC'd CPU can produce then 100W shouldn't be too hard for good air cooler to handle.

I did a huge review for the Sycthe Orochi awhile back and still have the slides. I reduced it to heat dissipated, so that should give you a good indication for this specific heatsink.

Basically, any decent heatsink should be able to do 100 watts without issue.

might be easyer to tell u what to use or how to set it all up it u told us what u were trying to cool
