View Full Version : Whats the best DDR memmory to use??
Is registered 2100 DRR faster even with ECC?
Or should I just go for the cheaper non-parity?

I'd go with the cheaper, but what do I know...............I'd have thought this would be in the mem forum :)

Ecc ram is slower and not necessary unless your board NEEDS it.

Like the guy said ecc is slower. But if u want good ecc or even non ecc ram that overclocks and runs really great, get the crucial ram. I was able to acheive a bus of 174 with my crucial ram and bm with that.:D

I dont think ECC is necessary slower than non ECC. Some server type motherboards or dual processor boards require it. I would highly recommend Mushkin (http://www.mushkin.com) memory. Also Corsair (http://www.corsairmicro.com) and Kingmax (http://www.kingmax.com/)

It is slower, but not so much as you'ed notice. It will however allow you to run you system with more system stablility.
