We might be taking our place back from OCAU, but as I understand it, EVGA will be the driving force to keep us in 4th. It will be nice to be back in front of the Roo's though. I am waiting on some WC parts, so I might be able to crank up my clocks a little higher, and try to figure out this web based garbage from VMWare, which might hopefully get some more PPD for T32!
The new VMPlayer version has a GUI, not web based. I'm not running it yet, but that's what I've read.

I have yet to try it out as well. I have been giving VirtualBox a bit of a try though. It seems to handle quite a bit more CPU's than any of our rigs would need (unless someone has a board that will run more than 4 i7's), but I seem to be having a bit of a hard time figuring out how to set the ungrabbed priority to idle. I have only had a couple of hours to really work with it, so I haven't really had the time to try to figure it out. About the most I have really done with it, was set up Ubuntu, and get it updated. I may have a bit more time to work with it this weekend. I can't wait to see us back in our place in front of the Roo's. We seem to be building up our teams PPD quite rapidly these days.

It runs nicely. 4 cores pegged at virtually 100% cpu usage with only 1 VM. My 955 brings in 3000ppd.

One other major reason there (OCAU) production is Down is the just recently 25% jump in Electricity costs , just got my New bill in to and was quite marginally higher , up from last one too!
From $600AU per Quarter to nearly $900AU, luckily we get a Disscount being on a DSP Pension brings it down to just around $700AU.
MPC has just recently overtaken them, 19 October I think it was.

I don't know if you guys are seeing it too, but it seems that the projected overtake keeps getting smaller and smaller every day. I just checked it again, and it said 6.4 months. :bday:

Wow man, that's a humongous increase! How the heck can they justify that???!!! Our monopoly would be raked over the coals for that, actually it wouldn't even get passed in the first place as it's government owned. That really sucks.

I've been out of the folding circle now for a couple of months what with higher temps, re-formatting and higher electricity costs. But things are cooling down nicely now so I'm going to get the 8800GTS 512MB back folding again very soon.

And we're down to 6.1 months to passing the Roo's. We are moving right along cranking out the points. Just thinking that 2 users combined are putting out nearly half a million PPD is impressive. It is looking like April that we pass them, unless this upward trend continues. I am working on trying to get my corporate client to let me fold on their Blade Servers, but he hasn't been sounding too keen on the idea. I am going to write up a proposal and see if I can convince them to agree to it. :D

Nice man. I'm not putting up very good numbers but I've got a 8800GT and 2 8800GTS G92 cards incoming. I should be over 20k ppd then hopefully.

I'm not sure what the PPD out of that server setup would be. I'm pretty sure it would be pretty insane though. I haven't looked at the specs, but there are 6 blades in the rack, and they are talking about adding even more. When I first got involved with this particular company, they only had 3. I do know that some guys on other teams were folding on blades, and getting near 1,000,000 PPD. I think the plans are to upgrade to 12 blades total by the end of the year. :bday: :D :p

The Nations Economy might be Strong , but that does not mean we can afford the rises in Bill,s ect ( Especially on a Pension) mainly these rises are due to the Carbon trade offs,, for cleaner energy and guess who pays for it in the long Run,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:screwy:

5.3 months now. I would say that this was to be expected of this time of year, but in my 4 years of folding, I don't remember being this close. Either we are on a serious upward trend, or they are on a serious downward trend. Either way it is looking good for T32. WTF everyone. Let's put a little more coal on the fire, and leave them smelling our exhaust. Also, a big Thank You and WTF to all of you new T32 folders.

I can't help but keep watching daily. I see EVGA is still slated to pass us in 2.4 months but yesterday this was 2.3 months so we've got to feel good about keeping the monster at bay.
As for OC Australia, its only a matter of time and the months are being reduced so quickly it makes me want to build more and more rigs to add coal onto the fire!
Aside from that, the Maximum PC Mag team is only a smidge more ahead of AOC. If this trend continues, we may even begin to reel them in. Topping 20M/week looks like something they just started doing in september.

The i7 at home is only running simple SMP on windows (only 4 cores in use). I got nothing else running at home right now because its been so damned hot in LA and we dont have AC since we are by the beach. When it cools down I am gonna get the other stuff back up and running (E8500, Q6600, E6600, 8800GT, 2x 9600GT, and maybe even the 9400GT IGP).
At work I got a few power folders keeping me in the game. 2 Mac Pro dual CPU quad core Xeons with HT @ 2.26 for a total of 32 cores (1/2 are virtual) Folding for T32! Gotta love those bigadv WUs! Just wish there was a good stable way to OC those MacPro towers.
Great work T32! Lets take those Aussies down!

:bday: Less than 5 months to the passing! I just checked again, and we are 4.9 months away from getting ahead of the Roo's! With it getting toward the colder months, it might be time to crank up those clocks, and really get to cranking out those points.
Edit: I just noticed our top 5 folders are cranking out over 1 Million PPD alone. That is a little more than 1/3 of T32's total production. WTF!!

Its looking like we are down to 4.3 months, and starting to level out. I am noticing, however, that we have 3 teams in our rearview, and EVGA is getting ready to steamroll us in less than 2.5 months. We also have Pande Group and Custom PC & Bit-Tech moving up on us, but at much slower rates. We may be able to hold off the latter 2 teams, but would need to double our output to keep EVGA at bay.
I think we can realistically lock Custom PC & Bit-Tech behind us. We were down to -35k PPD on them at one point.
It's so frustrating not being able to do anything more than I already am to help. My only rig is finally reaching close to its peak potential, and I have no way to get my grimy hands on another. Maybe I'll shovel driveways this winter break or something -.-

It looks like we've been doing 3mill a day recently. If we can increase that another 500k we would be able to hold off those two attacks for much longer. Gain on OCAU much more quickly, and start gaining on MaxPCMag. Thats about 1100ppd each...who's game. :)
Of course, I don't think anybody is sitting around NOT trying to get as much out of their machines already as it is.

I'd love to add another PC to my farm but the electrical installation can't handle anything more. If I turn on my toaster I start blowing fuses left and right. Also the power cable going to my apartment is starting to run hot. I'm afraid I'll start a fire in the long run :(

Realistically, not all of us can add 1100PPD. That is the thing that is really holding us where we are at. The biggest thing that helps us, is having more people folding. We have the highest average PPD per active user.
The best way to get our daily average up, is to get more people folding for Team 32. We have actually discussed this quite a few times in the past. We have actually brought up the idea of trying to bring in some of the gamers, but the idea never really got too far.

I could add another 4k ppd if I had another wireless adaptor...
Might just move this other rig to the other room and hook it up directly to the modem/router though.
I should hit the 4k milestone in an hour or so.
I spread the word around a bit today at my job and no one there seem to know anythingabout protein folding... Might have to make a few house calls and set em up folding.
I'm trying to save up enough for another GTX 295. That should give me another 16K ppd. I've got slots and power enough for 2 actually, so that is what I'm shooting for at the moment.
I want to eventually get the I7 EVGA board that has 4 PCI-E slots on it. I'm going to make a benching station for it, because the board is oversized for most cases, and I've never been able to 3 dual GPU cards cool enough inside a case.
With my budget though, this should take most of a year. Sorry I can't do any better than that. :bang head

I've got 4 PCIE slots too... I'm looking to trade my Radeon 4890 + cash for a GTX275, 285 or 295. Just gotta save up and find someone that wants to trade. That should net me 6-13k more ppd, put me in the 30k range.

Added another MacPro with Dual Xeons (16 cores with HT). With big-adv that should add another ~25k PPD. If only I could stably OC a mac... 2.26GHz on these Xeons is ****ing me off. They should be at least 3GHz damn it!
I hope these MacPros dont have to go into production soon...
