Hi

I'm looking at a graphics card for another system and was wondering which one would be the best for the price.

Both cards cost almost the same and I wanted to know which one would be better.

First is the TwinTech GTS250 1GB DDR3 (http://www.take2.co.za/electronics-twintech-nvidia-geforce-graphics-card-gts250--4794524.html) and the second one is the Sapphire HD4850 1GB (http://www.take2.co.za/electronics-sapphire-ati-radeon-hd4850-1gb-pci-e-3985790.html)

Which one would be best for between the two?

I have a 9600GT in my current system and how would these outperform mine? For what it's worth, the system I'm considering will be an AMD system.

Thanks.

Both should beat your current card quite nicely.
I think they're about even in performance, if you have the money (and PSU) to snap up one of the 4870s floating around for $105-120 i'd do that.
Being in south africa, i have no idea if you have anywhere that'll ship to you offering that cheap of a 4870 though, the site you linked certainly didn't.

If you can, look at the 5770 / 5750 cards...

For some reason I can't find a 4870 for cheap. I was told they have been discontinued.

I can't afford the 5770/5750 cards. I might have to forgo buying anything now and save up to buy one of the 57** cards.

Edit: I found a 5770 for cheap. Looks like I can afford to buy this if I can manage to sell my 9600GT and whatever else I might have. Maybe a kidney. ATI 5770 1GB (http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/club-5770-radeon-hd5770-p-3636.html)
