i got a 7600gs for free its the gigabyte one with a giant passive cooler.

I want to add a fan dont care about noise looking for cheap it has 4 screws on top of the heatsink i am guessing the fan would go there.

Those 4 screws hold the HS down on the chip. If you loosen them you will have to replace/redo the TIM paste. Buy a nice 92MM or 80MM fan and wiretie it somehow. Or some other method. Maybe look into the Antec Spotcooler fan.
