That's impressive. The stone really looks amazing with the tessellation features of DX11.

Bleh, tried the demo and it crashed saying to update DX, went to the MS site and downloaded the latest runtime, says I already have it installed.

I thought so, but the becnhmark says the min. requirements are an ATI HD2xxx/Nvidia 7xxx, so I thought I'd atleast try it.

No, vista, but I thought they were porting dx11 back, aren't they? Any way it doesnt really matter, already uninstalled it.

I think they are going to but have not ported it back yet.

IIRC, they are adding it to Vista in a patch, but I don't think they have yet.

I'm pretty sure tesselation doesn't need DX11, it should run on DX10 also (It was introduced by Ati with the HD2900, I believe).
DX11 is probably going to boost speeds, though.

ATI cards have had it for awhile, but it didn't become a dx standard until 11.
