Can't decide between these 2 laptops. Please help.

They are pretty comparable but I like the Asus better due to ADP warranty. I think the ibuypower.com unit is based on an MSI barebones chassis which are typically OK but not great or anything.

Battalion one, the one on Ibuypower.

For 2 reasons.

1. I like its looks better,
2. Its GPU is better.

It really depends on the video ram used by the mfgr. Both of these cards could have either DDR2, DDR3 or GDDR3 which will affect performance considerably, so can't really throw blanket statements about performance.

With the same memory it looks like the 4650 should be faster but not by a huge amount. The 4650 with GDDR3 should score in the mid 6K with 3DMK06 and the GT 240m should not be to far from that, I will be able to tell more later this week.

The GT 240m is one of Nvidia's newer cores, enhanced and produced on 40nm and should be an energy miser for the performance. The 4650 is still produced on the 55nm silicon will use more juice.
