This is the best looking CPU block I have seen... It is also the most expensive that SCAN stock
Does anyone know how it fairs against popular blocks Such as HK 3.0 or the new Apogee XT?
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Aqua-Computers-Cuplex-XT-Di-775-G1-4-Copper-CPU-Blocks-%2821527%29
Im running a Q6600.
I was planning on getting The Swiftech Apogee XT... but i'm still just looking around to see what pops up.
Any imput is appreciated
Thank You

A test of the block. This site is worth bookmarking

as is this one.

Lots of times you can get answers from these so ya don't have to wait for an answer.

Thank You... Have bookmarked page as suggested
Im not certain on what the results mean... this apparently has a higher restriction than an EK Supreme.
SInce I will be using a CPU only loop... does this mean that It will work fine/well in my system?
I love the way it looks and its supposed to have very high build quality.

ya better for a single block loop with a good pump like the mcp355 with top or mcp655.
i really love the look of that block too.

its not just about the restriction of the block. its about the trinity
basically you are matching block pump and rad all together. so it depends on the pump and how much rad you have to decide.
odds are if you have a 350/355/655 , you are in good shape for a simple loop

My other loop components are:
Laing DDC Pro with EK Acetal Top V2 (got it cheap) could possibly change
XSPC RX360 (TBC)
EK SPIN BAY Reservoir
Feser 1/2"ID 3/4"OD Tubing
Bitspower Compression fittings
WIll this work well?
I was going to cool my NB too but i have decided not to.

It hasn't arrived yet (bought it from Ebay with a mounting bracket for £45 delivered) but im pretty sure it's this one:

This CPU waterblock features a completely new high performance cooling concept. The cooler is divided into two cooling units that are sequentially passed by the cooling fluid and the fluid is accelareted towards the pin structure of the copper bottom part of the cooler twice - hence the name "double impact". The effective flowrate is nearly doubled by this concept, the area covered by the pin structure is significantly increased while the flow resistance is not noteworthy increased.
So, it's maze with pins in it? That is not a completely new concept. It's not even a remotely new concept. Check out this thread from '02:

But I wouldn't dismiss the idea just because it was tried back when cheap multi-core CPU's were just a pipedream and few watercoolers had even heard of jet impingement. Has anyone done thermal testing on this block yet?

Hmm... I found this graph on Skinneelabs..
http://martin.skinneelabs.com/img/D-TekFuzionV2-ThermalPerfo2.png
Appaerntly is doesn't quite masure up to the likes of D-TEK Fuzion v2 and therfore probably new CPU blocks such as HK, Apogee XT
It's a shame... in my opinion the asthetics of this block are second to none.
Are you extremely overclocked in a hot room? If not, I wouldn't worry about that 2.5° difference, and get the block you really like.

I say as long as the waterblock is quality and you like it then go for it. I am still sporting the pimpin old school infotech/koolance gold plated block with the pin maze and I love it.
(Of course been lookin into a ferarri to replace my camaro)
