What do you guys think of this? They say it works really well or so I heard.

When sold as a complete kit we guarantee a temperature *AT LEAST* 20 deg. F lower than the best copper/copper alloy block currently available (RESULTS WITH NUMEROUS TBIRD AND DURON CPU'S- YOURS MAY VARY). If you decide to use your existing water setup your should utilize 1/2" hose and your pump should be rated no lower than 315 gph at zero head. A NEW CLIP, utilizes the 4 holes of your motherboard. These are currently only available for the AMD line of CPU's. However the PEL-BLOCK works with all CPUS.

Here's a pic of the thing. its crazy looking.

yea i saw that a while back, but thats direct water cooling so anythign electrical on ur chip must be covered. where i read from they said 2 coats of nail polish will do it.

yeah i know. but do you think they'll really get the 20F drop that the makers promised?

u might, its DIRECT water cooling so no heat dissipation really , just directly into the water and away

Look at some of the Direct Die cooling in here for the answer. One that I know of is Overclocker. He gets a temp of 24C @ load and thats on a 800MHz Duron O.C.ed to 1000Mhz if I remember right.

20F drop vs most current waterblocks seems doubtful as that's under ambient. Personally I wouldn't trust direct die cooling - people have had a lot of problems with it, in partcular the seal over the stuff on the cpu tends to die after a while and it stops working.
