I've read the guide, it's great, if you have a router. Now here's my situation, my main computer, has onboard lan and a nic card, it's currently using the nic card on the onboard is disabled. I would like to run a crossover cable from the onboard to another computer and shard the internet through this. The main computer has win2k. The one linked to it has nothing right now but could have win98se or linux (which would be better) I can't put win2k on it, not enough guts in it. It's only gonna be used as a folding box. I know that the software is pretty straightforward, but what about the software.

Any help in advance is greatly appreciated. The sooner i can get some help with this, the sooner this thing starts foldin protiens

Is your internet connection DSL or cable. easiest is to turn on ICS on the win2k machine and set the other computer to obtain IP automaticaly. If it is dsl you have to set ICS on the pppoe adapter rather then the NIC.
