SLI indicator problems

The Good News: AT least SLI works because my indicator turns on

The Bad News: As you can tell from my Screenshots below, my 2 280GTX's are pretty much doing nothing as the bar is very short.


Granted the resolution on my TV is not very high (@ 1360X768), but I'm actually getting worse results than just a single card.

I updated drivers, downloaded some SLI profile updates, and turned physx off.

At that resolution you are incredibly CPU bound, even one 280 is cpu bound, really.
You'd probably get the exact same frame rate at a higher resolution.

The solution is a faster CPU, a PhII 550 and OC it to 3.6-3.8 would gain quite a bit in frame rate i bet.

IMO the best thing to do would be to sell one 280 and buy a faster CPU.

yes i was leaning towards that, but I can buy a better CPU once i get the money and keep the 2 GPU's

can you think of any other possible reasons its behaving this way. I'm 90% its just my CPU and resolution, but any other suggestions is most welcomed
