I use to own in StarCraft. Seriously before overclocking thats the only thing I played and I played 30-40 games a day. My record were always 50-80wins to under 5 losses. I never kept one name though.

How old is that now, like three years or something? I still play it sometimes, and it is still enjoyable. And when I enter battle.net I realize that Iīm far from the only one to think so. :D

my brother is 10 and loves the red alert series...not much of a shooter fan like myself but o still like the strategy games like red alert 2 he kicks my ass (and i mean bad) about 95% of the time he has been playing afor about a year i guess and so have i he hardly ever loses even to people that are 30 and have been playing since the first day it came out

I still play SC daily :). I pre-ordered it several years ago... it runs on just about anything, and the graphics actually look pretty good weirdly enough despite its age (using Brood War). Some of the stuff people have done with the use map settings games lately are incredibly good, some long enough to be full games in their own right (I've played a few that were 20+ hours).

uh........ there's quite a population difference in our countries though, not to mention this:

"Gun death" statistics are frequently cited, in the manner above, to strongly suggest that guns are the cause behind the high violent death rate in the U.S. As in the case of the Los Angeles Times article, no mention is made that over half of those violent deaths are suicides. The CNN article mentions gun homicides and gun suicides, but fails to show us the total violent death rate of other countries, not just gun deaths. For example, in Japan, where gun ownership is rare, its total suicide rate is higher than our total suicide rate.

yea its proabbly true but when you look at how many stabing deaths there are each year im not sure about canada but great britian is way ahead of us ( i saw a special on how the cops in britian were starting to wear shank proof vests becuase they get stabed at alot)

every one think that americans are kill happy but if you look at the world in general were about equall 9 except jamacia ( there is like 1 out of 4 people gets killed before age 30 or something crazy.

and also if you want to be fair think about how many people were killed when greate britan was about 200 years old

brit cops get shanked alot because they dont carry guns.
hehehehe all they got is a night stick, scarey ah

i agree with h2o. Population also comes into play too. But here in the usa we still have the right to arm ourselves and me being a shooter myself (michigan state champion) am glad that we still can shoot guns. in britan when their shooters want to practice for the olypics they have to come to usa because they cant even shoot targets over there. I dont know about hunting though what they can or cant use but anyway my 2 cents,

just putting in my $.02......

80% of those gun deaths are suicides
im not talking about criminals, hell they get there guns illegally anyways.
most of those deaths on there arent crime related, there from things like suicide or kids finding guns in there dads closets
stuff that wouldnt be a factor if they were illegal
also you might say well if they were suicidal they would probably kill themselves anyways, not true.
im not saying there "making crys for help" or whatever the crap is they normally give you, its the simple fact that ppl who kill themsleves dont want to have to go through the pain of the other ways of suicide, hence the gun, quick and painless

and whats your arguement for having guns legal, to protect yourself, bull
to hunt, why, go to the super market.

no im not talking about a total ban, ive shot a gun before, and it was fun. but we dont need them in our homes or such.
if you want to use a gun, go to a shoting range and rent one.
hell i live in the burbs, i have to go to a shoting range to use one anyways.

well we all have different feelings about it......i just posted it because my personal feeling is that if I want to own a gun I should be able to......I think having a gun in my house is a protection, not a detriment. These are just my personal feelings on the matter.....we're all entitled to our own opinions.

guns don't kill people, people kill people. But the gun helps. You don't do a whole lot of damage by running around, pointing your finger and shouting BANG! at the top of your lungs.

well about the fact that 12 yr olds kick ass at some games, well yes, its true. a friend of mine has been playing quake 2 sinc he was about 8, and he used to beat the living cr@p out of grown men (network admins and such) on lan games at his dad's work.

people used to accuse him of cheating.:p

and now, him and I own at CS and Quake 2. we play with lots of people, of all ages. its all down to coordination really.

but then again, some do cheat.:(
