this never happened with my old ball mouse but now its starting to get annoying (cuz its causing me to get killed in games :p).
every once in a while my mouse pointer just jumps 4 inches to the left for no reason. the mouse can be just left there and like once or twice every hour it happens.
i leave my mouse point on the right of the screen in the morning and when i wake up its on the left, lol.
its really annoying when im trying to shoot somthign in a game and all of a sudden im facing the wall next to me
any way i can fix this?
ohh and btw i have a logitech mouseman dual optical connected to my usb port (doesnt seem to have the probelm when on the ps/2 but the mouse sux when its on ps/2, i wanna keep running it usb)

What OS r u using? if win98 you might want to get the USB upgrade from Microsoft.

I was reading on the other tread and some one was having the same trouble with you. then some one suggest using a mouse pad then it work fine.
He were using some wooden desk that have pot or hole some thing

My optical mouse jumps once in a while,, but it's just when some fuz ballz and stuff get stuck up in the lazer, and throw it off I guess, I just blow the junk out and it works great
and if it's soft mousepad it could also be puttin junk in the mouse.
I use might right on the desk...

I have the same exact mouse and this problem happened to me when I had a very high FSB. Try to lower it and see what happens. Also what surface is under your mouse?
