I had some problems with my Acer's power adaptor where it would only charge if the cable was bent a certain way, and then it failed completely.
I stripped it down to the mother board and after diagnosing the fault to be the power adaptor block I replaced it. This didn't solve the problem and the laptops been in pieces since.
My question is, do I have to replace the faulty MB with one of the same model? Or can I fit a better spec MB?
