I use the SP/diff output on my mainboard to a Dolby Digital AMP but I would like to also output the sound to the standard 3.5mm audio jack at the same time. Can this be done without changing the preferred device all the time?

I think if a program allows control of what inputs and outputs you can. Default as far as I can tell is only one.

For example, I have skype going through my 3.5 for headphones and optical has my music and games go through it.

Skype and WMP let me choose between onboard/sound card and their specific ports.

Yeah I thought that might be the case. Never mind then. Thx :)
