What do you guys think ?

I got a 5 gal pale for a res.. so.. if I duct tape all aroudn the lid sides... and all hose/power cord entries should it keep the smell down ?

otherwise... I need to start shopping for a new Res...

I am mixing alum and copper after all

I would think it would. If you're gonna get a new res check out tupperware. I'm using a oversized tupperware container and it's totally water/smell tight. :)

I'm not totally sure, but I think water wetter would eat though tuperware in a matter of minutes..

I remember changing my water once, and used a tupperware bowl, that did have a knife mark in it, but didn't leak prior...

if I got a new res, I'd go get one of those things with the 500gph pump or something...

Thanks for the info guys... I might be able to make a cheap res out of tupperware and some screwed in barbs or something ... :D

Tho since my pump is submerged operation only, do you guys have any recomended way of feeding my power cord through the lid ?

my bro suggest simply making a slit big enough for the cord and then cutting the tip off, caulking the space, and then putting a new tip on the cord..

if there is an easier method lemme know

and is there a recomended size ?
