For those who have played the game extensively, what should i be? I played in Beta and im ready to jump back in. I want to tank, but the grind to 50 is worrying me. So i thought a gladiator would be the second choice. I have no other plans for anything beyond templar or gladiator. Ill mostly PVE, that's about it. Maybe some occasional pvp.

And, if gladiator, whats best for grind? Greatsword, dual or polearm?

Thanks in advance!

I really enjoyed playing a Glad, mainly because I'm very familiar with DPS classes. I had a friend play a templar and he said it was a blast, but a bit slow to get going.

I've used all 3 weapon types.

Dual is fast, but hits low, which isn't optimal for Glads.
Polearm is really slow, but heavy hitting, which is great for us.
Greatsword is my favorite because of more damage, and decent speed, and it works with 2h attacks as well.

If you want to tank go with Templar...

It is also easier to get groups as a templar than it is a s a gladiator...

Templars are slower at killing but their DEF is so much better that they can kill way more mobs before having to rest which makes things easier.

I have a 35 templar and I like it, granted the grinding is slow, but you almost always get groups for instances. Every group needs a Temp, unless they got a really decked out glad and a good healer/group. I almost instantly get a group once i send out a LFG.

Wish we had more pvp potential tho.. we may outlast anything but we cant exactly kill much -_- its like drowning slowly.
