Want a cool system and low noise.
I have see sig, quite a heat generator at full load.
When I built this box I was hitting 47c fully loaded.So not happy with that and having 2 38cfm fans on the SK6 I set out to get lowewr temps with out WATER.
Now many may have seen my air ducts made from PVC pipe.{if not ask for pic}Well after I installed these ducts I lowered my temps to 39c.I was amazed.
Only catch was those 2 screamers made people duck as thay walked by my box cause it sounded like a plane landing.
I personally dident mind I figure what the heck it aint like I got a intell .LOL I have 2 XP1800 oced slightly.Runny at 39c MAX which is awsom.But I keep hearing these water guys brag about quiet.
Today I removed these screamers Installed 2 30cfm really quiet fans and now it is so quiet I can here the key strokes on my keyboard and I can again here that 7200 rpm drive spinning up .Something I couldent here before and forgot it even made noise LOL.
Best of all is I only gained 2c in temps.I was stunned but after reading many posts here I remember people installing 50cfm fans and reducing temps by 2c or 3c so it makes sense a slightly slower fan with direct room air ducted to it like the screamers had would only effect my temps a little.I say ducts are worth 10 times there weight in gold,Cost 10 dollars and reduces temps worth hundreds.And looks cool as well !!!!
