I ordered some MX-2 to do my father's build tomorrow. I get the package out of my mailbox today and hear metal clanging inside. The last I knew, MX-2 shouldn't be metal. I open it up and there is a 2 1/2-3 1/2 hard drive mounting bracket inside that was supposed to go to someone with a similarly pronounced last name as mine.
I don't want the MX-2 anymore since I will be 500 miles away when it gets here and when I need it, but they are sending it anyway when I wanted a refund. I may be wrong here, but I don't think a refund is asking too much. They are sending a tag to pickup the wrong item. I should keep it. They are lucky I'm not the vindictive or thievery kind, but they'll have to wait to get it back until I get back.
Glad I didn't order anything important. Guess I get to use OCZ Freeze, MX-3, or IC7.

Mistakes happen? I've had more than 10 very complex orders from them, and not once did they mess it up. Either way, I'm sure they will resolve the issue quickly for you.
Well I can understand his frustration. He wanted something, a mistake happened (like they do), he asked for a refund, and they declined and decided to ship it anyways.
Its not about the mistake, its about the fact that they didnt refund it when the customer had a reasonable gripe and asked for one.

Man, that kind of lets me down, seeing that they didn't refund your money since they screwed up on the order and they can't get you the MX2 on time for you to use it. The only thing I can think of is to go to resellerratings.com and write a review about this order screwup on their end and not making you satisfied with their customer service. I do know that they monitor their reviews at RR, so maybe it will be a wake up call for Gary to see a not so good review being left for everyone to check out. Just state the facts and don't try to embellish them as he has the right to reply and rebut any review you make. But I think that Gary should have just refunded your money, since the mx2 won't be delivered on time for your project and you will be using something else.
What was their response when you asked for a refund? I always order from Sidewinder first if they offer what I need, so far no screwups.

Don't forget Arctic Silver Matrix Thixotropic Premium http://www.petrastechshop.com/arsimathprth.html
You can always refuse delivery of the package, that's what I would do to guarantee a refund.
