Hey everybody this is my first time here and ive been wondering some things i think yall could help me with.

First of all i have a Soltek 75DRV2, 512 MB DDR NEC ram, Athlon 1600XP, and a Glaciator 2 heatsink (copper).

Ive been overclocking with the FSB and cant get over 149 mhz. If i try for 150 i get errors like "Not enough memory for windows" so i think i might need to up the voltage on the memory or something, right? Also i was wondering if ram heatsinks are neccessary? I've been concerned about that especially since with this XP i gotta use the FSB. And i dont want to unlock the processor im not too comfortable doing that. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums,
Sounds like you might be hitting the max speed for your cpu.
You might try raising the cpu vcore voltage to 1.85v if you are not there already.

You can got to 2.7 or 2.8v on the memory voltage before you need to worry about fans and heat spreader's.
