Ok I was wondering if you can use the DigiDoc 5 with direct die cooling? I got mine today and was going to put it in my rig, but I have ran out of plugs. So me being the nice guy I am, have made the choice to put it in my Fiancee`s computer.

You could attach a sensor to the die block, if it's metal, and you'd get a fairly good water temp, but the CPU may be a little off.

What I was wanting to do is drill a small hole in the block. Then put in the temp probe. It`s made of PVC with brass 3/4" inlet and outlet. I used Marine Goop to glue the block to the CPU and then used GE Silicone II to seal the whole socket. After that I put the silicone around the base of the CPU and up a little bit. So from the middle of the block all the way down to the MoBo is sealed.

Sounds like a plan. Should work well with the thermistor in direct contact with the water.

Sweet. Time to break out the drill. Oh yea more power. Then when I get the computer all the way done it`s time to join F@H.
