SLI 9800GTX or..

I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics pretty soon. I was wondering am I better off picking up another 9800GTX and enabling SLI or upgrading to a GTX 260? Thing is... I've never ran a multi-gpu system.. :shrug:

A GTX 260 core 216 will perform on par and above the SLI'd cards, and if you factor in a bit of overclocking it will certainly prevail. I'd suggest the latter so the possibility of adding on a second 260 core 216 down the road. Running a multi-GPU system isnt hard, its just a little different, it may take a few days to get comfortable with the settings. Also depending what platform your running as far as processor goes because anything less than an OC'd dual core is likely to bottleneck a multi-gpu system.

For simplicity's sake, I would just go with one GTX260. Less hassle, less power, less space.
