I was looking on pricewatch for one, and the only seller for the highpoint ata-133 raid is one disreputable dealer. Anyone here have one? What is the performance gain?

They don't have a 133 raid card. Just a regular one.

From what I've read, Maxtor is the only manufacturer to use ATA/133. Everyone else is sticking with ATA/100 while preparing for the next big thing. Due to this, I imagine controller support for ATA/133 will be rather limited.
Atacom (www.atacom.com), Z-Buy (www.z-buy.com), GoogleGear (www.googlegear.com).
I've ordered from all thre of these places and had pleasant experiences. May not have the best reseller ratings but they've all done me right and I've ordered at least twice from each of them.
The latter two carry the Promise ATA133 controller so they are a little more spendy. Atacom carries the HPT372-based controller and is cheaper.
