View Full Version : Random BSODs and Weird lines
Today, I have been getting some weird problems. Two times in a row but at seemingly random times, i have been getting BSODs that i can't ctrl alt del from. Then after i try a bunch of times or hit enter enough, i get this extremely strange screen w/ black and white lines on the whole screen. From there it is totally unresponsive. My newest proggies that i have installed are Morpheus (like Kazaa), and SANDRA, which by the way doesn't work for me. I click the icon and it just does'nt open the proggie. I also just installed a modem so that could be something. I need some smart people to give me some ideas to what the problem could be caused by. Thanks

What are BSOD's ?
Maybe you partially dislodged your video card? Or maybe try installing the modem in another slot.
Sorry.....

yes for the hopeleesly ignorant person in the back there, or who just has never used any version of windows. the BSOD is the blue screen of death, which usually pops up anytime windows decides to create a fatal error for itself, or just whenever you happen to have gotten a lot of work done just before saving a 14 page project. That is a BSOD, it basically is the computer's way of laughing at you and saying.
" MUAHAHAHAHA!!! I just Screwed you big time! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sounds to me like a video card problem. Last time i had such a problem the connector where the monitor cord pluged into was coming off the board.
