Slightly confused here...

Okay, so my friend is wanting to build a mild computer. He wants to go with the same motherboard that I have, but we're not sure it it's going to work with his processor.

His processor:

My motherboard:

The reason I ask is because in Newegg's search, it doesn't give the option for "dual core" processors. It only says C2Q, C2D, and Q2 Extreme.

That should work fine...

The CPU is LGA775...

The MB is LGA775... they usually support anything from pentium 4 to core2quad extremes.

EDIT :: Will definitely work... checked compatibility on Gigabyte Website!

If JOSH looked it up on the website for compatability and said yes. Nobody should say no. I second his statement as I also looked it up.

I wouldnt trust anyone either. I dont blame you. We all can be incorrect sometimes!!! Here is the link to the CPU compataibilty chart though for your motherboard. This can be found at the gigabyte website.
