Although refurb it is almost impossible to find a panel this good on monitors these days let alone for this price. Furthermore geeks has a great reputation when it comes to refurb monitors.

If you value image quality this is the monitor for you as it uses an IPS panel instead of the TN panels everything tends to have these days.

I've had two of these monitors for a long time - they're terrific, and that's a great deal. I paid around $400 each for these a few years ago.

NEC is currently running a deal on refurbs that include the following monitors:

20WMGX2 $139 - IPS
LCD2470WNX $239 - S-PVA

the 20WMGX2 is widely considered to be better then the dell 2007wfp but was almost 2x the price at $700 two or so years ago

Thanks for posting those deals, though I think that link is supposed to be: http://www.necdisplay.com/communications/1209_holiday_pricing.html, yes?

Those still looking for this deal, a seller on ebay has them for 129$ and free shipping. Its a Grade A refurbished. They also have 2405's for 199$. I bought one. Just could not resist.

Also it will be a crap shoot. Dell used both an LG S-IPS panel and a Samsung s-PVA panel. My current 2007wfp has the samsung panel and its perfectly fine.

If you can get the serial number on the 2007FP/WFP you can figure out if its the LG or Samsung panel. The serial number ends in "L" for the LG.

Did not know that. Must have been why mine was so terrible. Hated that monitor, horrible backlight, bleeding, color reproduction, ghosting. I returned it immediately.
