whats ladies and gents, I've been reading some of the post in a class discussion back at a school of higher education I just graduated from and a young lady has a problem with her pc.
She states that every time she goes to the start menu, shut down, that the computer does not shutdown. She says it flickers and it goes back to the desktop.
I asked if it did this once or what and she told me it happens everytime she goes to shut down and its been doing it for a while and she has just been living with it.
Its a Gateway about 2yrs old, running Win 98. Now I don't know how computer savy she is and she is 3hrs away from me.
Now what I would do is blow away the OS and reinstall everything but she may not know exactly how to do that or the fact that she may want to record the hardware types she has in the machine. I would hate for her to do that and can't find the Drivers ya know.
Any suggestions besides FDISKING you ladies and gents have or any solutions? Let me know thx.
