Video Card????

Hey Guys i Have A Voodoo3 3500 and i was wondering whats the best way to cool it cause my heatsink fan is burning up i mean i can probaly melt plastic on it thats how hot it is its pretty bad hehe i jsut wanted ur opionions thx guys

yank that voodoo shove it in the freezer for about...10min

then take a knife and gently pry off the heatsink

then get a themal take blue orb ( costs like $7 )

get some thermal grease and some epoxy..

use a very very small amount of epoxy with the themal grease

that should hold on the blue orb

crystal orb or iu cpu hsf's would be better than a blorb. I'd suggest lapping the blorb base if you do get one... or you could spend an extra $5 and a couple of hours with some sandpaper and make a blue orb into a silver orb...

what is epoxy and what is thermal grease?...my radeon has stock heatsink, and i want to put on a bluorb on it and it has no way to attach the bluorb to attach to the videocard.....how to i make the bluorb stay in place

hehe hey young dont feel bad my video card is probaly running at 200 f its so darn hot im waiting for it to melt i dont knwo why its so hot tho i think its those 3rd party drivers i think it O/C my video but i dont know

do all i need is arctic silver II and put it on the gpu and stick the bluorb on and it will dry and stay in place?

ASII isn't an adhesive. Artic Alumina is what you'd want. Or you could use a thin layer of ASII and just put a little drop of superglue on two opposite corners of the gpu.

Just ordered 2 myself. They also have the adhesive and thermal compound for cheap.
