You put Arctic Silver II or III on the core, then put the block on the CPU, then put on the hold down, then screw it down til it`s snug. Make sure not to put to much pressure on the hold down cause if you do you might break a tab off of the socket.
AH' thank you. So you just put that gel stuff in the middle. So then the waterblock..jacket (whatever) just sits on tops with nothing but that goo in the middle cool. all i needed to know.
thanks

Just remember a small amount of Arctic Silver. Put a dab on the take something like a credit card and wipe acrossed it. So your left with a thin layer of it.

If the video card doesn't have any mounting holes for a waterblock such as a Radeon 8500, then just about your only option is to use Arctic Silver adhesive or Arctic Alumina adhesive.

you want nothing between the block and the cpu, just like the heat sink. we put a little goo just to fill in the small inperfections. Just a very small amount. Just a very very small amount.
