I just got the board in today, and since no ones read the ECS board forum, I put it here. I installed the card, booted up, installed Win98SE. All the drivers for the board (even updated the AGP VxD thing) and installed the latest official drivers for my Radeon, restart for settings, never gets to Windows, just a black screen. I shut it off, and turn it back on, it boots. Gets to Windows and tells me my hardware wont work with these settings and makes me restart if I want to change my resolution. I put my backup SiS 8MB PCI card in, and thats how I'm here now. Flounder says he thinks its a vid card/driver problem. Any1 got any ideas?
same thing is happing on my vp6 that i just got
radeon 7500 and a nice black screen.
i put my tnt2 in and it works fine. big headache

Yup, happened to me with Win2k and XP, but 98SE no problem.
I even formatted and re-installed XP and I still got the black.
So I went in the computer and took off the fan on my Radeon, and for some reason it worked. It could have been power, but I tried it with the fan unplugged but still on and it would be black.
Took the fan off, voila, seemed like a heat problem or something cause the fan barely worked and musta been trapping heat. Made no sense at all.

I read somewhere that it may be a BIOS setting issue. I can't remember the site. Maybe load defaults or take out your mobo battery and see if it'll work for ya.
Didn't work for me though... :p
Seems like its some bug with the card there must be an online site that will show some results to fixing it.
Try finding it on Google.com

I re-read your post and didn't see a mention of Direct X 8 installed?
The new drivers require it.
