geforce1 withour ddr is alot worse than geforce 2 mx?

i would just like to know the difference on these two cards. how much better is as geforce 2mx than a "normal" geforce1 ?

yes, it makes a difference, you can tell the difference from the gf1 and gf2 a lot, the difference is like night and day, id suggest you buy the gf2 mx, the mx is real cheap right now, theres no reason why you shouldnt get it, considering what you have right now

Just make sure u get the gf2 mx 400, not the 200. Pricewise, there's not much difference, but performance wise....that's another story.

The Geforce 256 DDR scores about 10% more when compared to a GF2-MX. The GF2-MX however supports a lot more 3D instructions so if you have a GeForce without DDR (SDR) the difference will be noticeable. Get the MX-400 or the original MX (which can be easily OCed like a MX-400 :) NOT the MX-200 which is MUCH slower...

DO NOT GET AN MX, you can get a GTS or radeon32mbDDR for about 15$ more and almost twice the performance......

Right now the GeForce 2 MX series shouldn't be bought. You should at least go with the GTS/Pro series like FP1 said look in your local vendor or any online store there should be no big gap in the prices and the Pro is still being used with very good quality in the games. Or better yet get the Radeon 7500 or Ti200!

But don't buy the MX Series they don't preform that well at all.
